He was there when Lenny Kravitz “Let Love Rule.” He survived one month in the desert with Johnny Rotten and rattlesnakes (the snakes were less dangerous). And he was there when Joss Stone first found her Soul. Multi award-winning filmmaker, photographer and creative director Charles Allan Smith – or “Charlie,” as he is better known – has spent most of his life in front of and behind the camera.

His career began in front of the camera as the creator and host of the Bahamas’ number one broadcast show Electric Air, which aired for more than 10 years. He then became one of the lead VJs for the first international Caribbean Network, CSN, based in the United States. Behind the camera, Charlie has participated in almost every aspect of the media including print, television and film, and has written, created, produced, directed and hosted various TV shows, music videos, documentaries, films, EPKs and commercials that have aired worldwide. As a photographer, he has photographed album covers for Stone, Betty Wright & The Roots, Susan Cagle, the Baha Men and many more, and has shot iconic images for and of magazines, billboards, ad campaigns, charities, books, celebrities and U.S. presidents.
